The Marengo Fire Protection District along with the Marengo Rescue Squad provides our citizens with personnel that are on duty 24 hours per day and cover an area of 106 square miles (2nd largest in the state of Illinois). While the districts are separate entities, these shared services allow the citizens to receive the highest level of service.

We are a cross-trained district with our members trained as both firefighters and emergency medical care. Through advanced classes and training, our district members can also assist our neighboring agencies treating patients at fires, vehicle collisions, and various medical emergencies.
